It was a spontaneous trip planned several days ahead of time, so
we decided to keep it a secret....it was past the kiddos bed time, little did they know
what a treat they were going to enjoy!!
Look at their little faces! They were in shock!!
First, Stanley got some love from Memaw and Papaw George...
Then, Clara....
Here's some shots of the weekend, turns out I didn't get my camera
out too much, so little that, I didn't even get Uncle Brian in any pics!
It was his first time to visit us in Tupelo...it was their first time visiting
us in our new home. It was so good to have them here!
Clara looking cool with her
sunglasses and hot pink tutu!
(and don't forget one of her Ohio State
outfits she got from the grandparents
that still remain in Ohio to keep us in
the buckeye spirit!)
I hate to admit it, but this is how we looked a good amount of time as we relaxed together; Papaw on his iPad, Stanley on our iPad, and Memaw on her nook..I had to get
a picture, it is what it is...the age of
technology...
Playing in leaves...this is Clara's excited look. :)
Stanley helping with picking up the leaves...not sure if he was adding to the
work or not...but he sure had fun!!
Love the joy that comes with leaves!
Stanley and I enjoyed a special date together this past Wednesday...Sesame Street Live, Elmo Makes Music.
We had a great time! I decided not to take Clara with me even though I know she would have loved it, too. I know
| This is how much my kids love to get their picture taken (at times!)...man, it's not that bad, Clara (to her defense she just woke up from her nap)...love how Stanley loves on his little sister. |
Love this little guy...he's saying such funny things everyday! Being a preschooler is hard work! He continues to love trains, Curious George books, coloring with markers, play-doh, riding his new bike, and playing with his friends at preschool, and going to church...he has already started talking about who his best friend is and who is not this friend...and so it begins!
So as it turns out, my little girl is just that a "girl!" She
does things that we never saw in Stanley...like pose like this so proud to be in a flow-y dress, wanting to wear her new purple shoes around the house...and, well you saw the tutu above, I think she already loves to be a girl! And, mama thinks it's pretty fun! She enjoys singing, dancing, watching Veggie Tales, reading books, praying before meals and bed time (she especially likes to say AMEN!)...and more than anything, she loves to play with her big brother, she has more exposure to trains and cars than she would have if she was our first child!
Well, my kiddos have been up from naps for a little while now, so this doesn't feel as flowing as I had intended, but it's another post finished...as always, thanks for stopping!!
